Travel China Like You Live Here
Most tours show you China. We help you experience it. Founded by globally minded locals, we create small-group journeys that go beyond sightseeing and into the living cultures, communities, and stories. We handle the planning so you can focus on authentic connections.

Pick Your Route
Recommended Trips
Start with the version of China you most want to feel: high-altitude landscapes, artisan villages, or a dramatic first-timer arc that moves between city, grassland, and spectacle.
Every itinerary includes a dedicated local host relationship, small-group pacing, and support for travelers who are visiting China for the first time.

Why It Matters
The trip lands better when the place benefits too.
We don't think Western travelers need to choose between a memorable trip and a respectful one. The Village Hearth model keeps local homes, food, skills, and payments inside the places you came to experience in the first place.

Tourist-bus style departures
The people who make it real.
These partnerships are the core of the route, not a decorative stop along the way.

Dorje
Tibetan herder & guide · Ge'nie Massif
We met Dorje when he was 17. He'd never guided tourists. Six years later, his home is the base for our Tibetan Plateau trips and his community benefits directly from every group that visits.

Chen Qin
Village doctor & embroidery teacher · Jidao, Guizhou
Chen Qin converted her own home into a free embroidery training base. Women in her village who previously had no income now earn over 10,000 RMB a year from their craft.

Hongguer
Musician & grassland host · West Ujimqin, Inner Mongolia
Hongguer studied art in the city, learned modern music, then chose to return to the steppe. His coffee shop on the grassland has become a meeting point for nomads and travelers alike.
Why We Do This
A China-based team making China feel close, human, and alive.
Trailblazer China was built for curious international travelers who want more than sightseeing. Our belief is simple: guests deserve to see the real China and have fun doing it.
Local knowledge, global fluency
Our team combines deep local roots in China with experience living, studying, and working across the UK, US, Germany, and beyond. We understand how China works on the ground, and what international travelers need from a host.
Trips built around people
We design small-group journeys around local hosts, artisans, families, performers, and neighborhood characters, so the trip becomes a set of real encounters rather than a checklist of sights.
Hosted with care
We care about clear communication, smooth logistics, cultural context, good pacing, and the small moments that make a place click: the right meal, the right story, the right person at the right time.
Guest Stories
The people who were unsure are often our biggest believers.
A lot of guests arrive with questions about language, comfort, or whether China will feel too difficult. The trip usually answers that within the first forty-eight hours.

Open videoTrip of a lifetime. The place and the people were very special. I left with friends I did not expect to make, and a completely different picture of China.
The warmth and hospitality made everything feel personal. Staying with Dorje's family was the highlight. It felt real in a way you cannot get on a normal tour.
I came back knowing how to make batik, but more importantly, I understood why it matters. The story behind the craft made the whole experience stay with me.
Naadam was unreal. It did not feel like a performance for visitors. It felt alive, local, and full of energy. That made all the difference.
